What can the tool help me with?
Click a question to see how each feature works.
Can I see where my whole project stands — at any time?+
Yes. The dashboard shows every stage of your project at a glance: progress in percent, your next milestone, active modules and days left to submission. It updates every day, so you always know what's next.
Can the tool plan my dates around my submission deadline?+
The timeline wizard builds a full plan from your submission deadline, along the critical path — every key activity gets a date. View it as a list, Gantt chart or calendar — all views stay in sync. Add your own activities to make the plan fully yours.
Can the tool help me with the literature review?+
Yes — live search powered by OpenAlex, with a one-click link to find each paper in your university library (Oria). Sort your findings into a literature matrix by role (background, methods, statistics) and export it as a Word document — or save to Notes.
Are there templates for the writing itself?+
The writing studio has English and Norwegian templates for the standard sections, and your project details are filled in for you. You write in the studio and export the draft to Word.
Can I send emails from ready-made templates?+
Yes — ready templates for the emails research actually needs: inviting participants, scheduling interviews, thanking participants after taking part, asking for feedback on a draft, or flagging a delay.
I haven't found a topic or title yet.+
The topic and title wizard helps you shape a working title that names your population, your variables and your context — turning a vague interest into a researchable question, step by step.
Can it help with qualitative and quantitative analysis?+
Yes — a guided statistical-test chooser: answer \"what are you trying to do?\" (compare groups, look at a relationship, or just describe your sample) and it points you to the right proven method. Plus support for qualitative coding. Always method guidance — never access to your raw data.
I'm nervous about the presentation.+
The presentation module has outlines tailored to each seminar — title/proposal, midterm I (tools and methods), midterm II (preliminary results) and open seminar. The Word outline is free, PowerPoint export is Pro, and you can rehearse against a built-in timer.
Is it GDPR-correct for Norway?+
Yes — a notification checklist aligned to Sikt/NSD (e.g. \"is a notification required?\"). Set target dates and they appear on your timeline with reminders, so no privacy step is missed.
What about supervisor and committee meetings?+
Generate a ready-made Word meeting pack for supervisor and committee meetings — progress since last time, open action items and upcoming deadlines. Track participants and follow-ups, all tied to your timeline.
Where do I keep everything as I go?+
Notes holds up to around 300 pages of your working material — searchable and tied to your project, so thoughts, quotes and drafts live in one place.
Is there guidance if I get stuck?+
Yes — an extensive help library with thorough guides in Norwegian and English, covering every stage from topic to defence.
